About Michael Marker
![]() Operations and Professional Svcs Guy |
Recently liberated from The Man. I am one of the founding partners of Mercury Grove. A father of two boys I was raised and reside in Northern Kentucky (far enough North to be comfortable with "modern social graces", but far enough South to avoid them).
I have a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from Miami University and a Master's in Entrepreneurial Studies from Xavier U.
I love watching any sport and playing most. I'm addicted to water skiing and off-road running/biking (and really should migrate further south so that I can enjoy them more). I've been lucky enough to have traveled to many places across the globe. My resulting curse is that I am rarely satisfied with the here and now.
I detest the routine and mundane environment of today's risk-averse corporate world and have zero patience for the people that allow themselves to be victimized by it.
I'm attracted to people that are intelligent, genuine and fair and can challenge me to step outside my box; hence, Mercury Grove…Professional BackgroundEntered the "workforce" as a Software Developer for a small marketing firm in 1996. As a Senior Integration Manager for Atos Origin from '03 to '06, managed a team of integration engineers and information architects. While at Atos, was responsible for executing multi-million dollar projects/programs for large clients such as Lexmark, GM, JP Morgan Chase and P&G.More about MichaelWhat is your idea of perfect happiness?Walking across the dock to my boat marina in the early morning - mist rising above the calm water; ducks shaking off the dew; scent of fish, hardwoods, and fuel in the air; cup of coffee in my hand; dog by my side...
