Mercury Grove Steps Out of the Virtual World!
In January we were approached by some small and medium business services asking if we would partner with them to provide web marketing services to their clients. These services were great organizations that we would be proud to partner with, so we sealed the deal!
It wasn’t until a week later when both partners (unrelated, in two different countries) requested us to provide them some information about our company that they could give to their clients. “Sure” we said, “just send them to our website!”. Turns out they meant “hardcopy” – real, physical, hold-in-your-hand information!
Whoa! Hold the IP-Phone! Turn down the twitter! Dim the monitors!
After the initial shock, we thought this might be fun. Although we’re not accustomed to working in this new non-web “medium”, we do love a challenge!
So we gathered everyone – the whole marketing department, product managers, copywriters, graphic designers, legal team… and explained what we had to do. At first they were as confused as we were. Luckily Mike, who spends much more time in the “real world”, ran over to the closest bank and then to the Real Estate Agency and picked up some examples that could be passed around the office as specimens.
It took us awhile, but with the help of some of our partners, we were able to produce our first-ever physical brochure, and I’d like to share it with you. Now, we don’t claim to be experts in this space – quite the contrary – but I think its a pretty good physical product when printed on heavy, glossy paper.
And now we’d like to share it with you!
I do have to warn you, though, it looks almost just as good on your computer screen, so no need to print it out in full-color. Having said that, we don’t know how long this whole “paper thing” will last, so you might want to print it out and give it to your friends as a reminder of “how things used to be”
We’d love to get your feedback!

I’ve heard about this new “paper revolution”. Amazing – flexible screens, lighter than a mac air. Awesome. Way to be at the leading edge, guys!

Make sure to produce a grayscale version for when you need to send someone the brochure via facsimile machine.
